School Meals and Menu
All children from Reception to Year 6 are welcome to have a school lunch here at All Saints Carshalton.
We're thrilled to announce that this term, our children have taken the reins in selecting their favourite meals for our school menu. Through a collaborative effort, each class has voted for new and exciting dishes to tickle their taste buds, and the School Council has skillfully put together everyone's ideas into a selection of six delicious meals to enjoy between now and the end of the school year. Mrs Bramble has ensured that the children's suggestions comply with school food guidelines.
This initiative not only empowers our children by allowing them to play a pivotal role in shaping their dining experience but also fosters a sense of community and cooperation within our school.
Currently all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal paid for under the 'Universal Free School Meal' scheme provided by the Government.
For the academic year 2023/2024 children in Year 3,4,5 and 6 will also receive a Free School meal. This is an initiative started by the Mayor of London, which is currently only in place for 1 academic year.
Children are also very welcome to have a packed lunch brought in from home. We ask please that these are healthy and filling. We also ask that they do not contain any nuts, sweets, chocolate or juice. Children will be provided with water to have alongside their lunches.
