Here at All Saints Carshalton we are very proud of our school and everyone in it. Our strong Christian ethos is embedded in the life and learning of the school and it is reflected in the values the children develop. We are a Multi-Academy Trust school for children between 3 to 11 years, having close links with Carshalton All Saints Church and other local churches.

At All Saints we have one intake for Nursery in September each year. Children will be considered for Nursery from the September after their third birthday. At All Saints we do not have a routine January intake, but if spaces are available these will be offered to applicants with children whose birthday falls in the September, November or December. Places will be offered according to the admissions policy.

Preparing for Nursery

How to Prepare Your Child for Nursery

Please see the above information sheet which details many of the ways you can help your child feel ready for Nursery. Children all develop at different stages and some skills come easier than others. Please talk to us early on about your child's development so we can understand their needs and advise you about how best to help them develop. One skill that is essential for Nursery though is 'going to the toilet'. Children join our Nursery from 3 years old, so the expectation is that they will be independent in this area and able to self-care. Children should not arrive at Nursery in nappies and pull-ups, as we do not have provision for this.

Please see the links below which give help and advice on potty training:

If you feel there are any areas of development that your child requires extra help with, please do contact us early on. Also, if you have any questions or concerns about Nursery, specific to your child please email our Admissions Officer at admissions@allsaintscarshalton.sutton.sch.uk

Our Facilities

At All Saints we have a purpose built Nursery that has its own secure playground area as well as large indoor facilities. The Nursery is spacious, light and airy. It has double doors that lead to an outside area. The entrance to the Nursery can be reached via a pathway at the side of the school, on Talbot Road.

Our Nursery can admit up to 26 children to each of the morning and afternoon sessions. From these sessions we offer 20 government funded 30-hour free childcare places, 6 morning places and 6 afternoon places. The school reserves the right to vary the number of spaces available for each session. Please note that government funded 30-hour free childcare places can only be secured with a verified eligibility code.

Nursery runs from 8.45am to 3.15pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8.45am to 12.45pm (Fridays) during term time. Children are able to stay at Nursery until 3.15pm on a Friday, in line with the end of the school day. There is an additional charge for this session (12.45pm to 3.15pm).
