Mission Statement
We are committed to providing an outstanding education within our Christian community, where all are valued as individuals and given every opportunity to fulfill their potential
For each one of us to shine as a light believing we can make a difference in His world.
Matthew 5:16
If you would like to visit our Nursery, dates are now available for parents/guardians of children starting in September 2025 to visit. Please click the link below to book into a session. Tours last about 20 minutes and two adults from each family are welcome. As you are visiting during the Nursery day we politely ask that children do not attend. |
Here at All Saints Carshalton we are very proud of our school and everyone in it. Our strong Christian ethos is embedded in the life and learning of the school and it is reflected in the values the children develop. We are a Multi Academy Trust school for children between 3 to 11 years, having close links with Carshalton All Saints Church and other local churches.
At All Saints we have one intake for Nursery in September each year. Children will be considered for Nursery from the September after their third birthday. At All Saints we do not have a routine January intake, but if spaces are available these will be offered to applicants with children whose birthday falls in the September, November or December. Places will be offered according to the admissions policy.
Preparing for Nursery
How to Prepare Your Child for Nursery
Please see the attached information sheet which details many of the ways you can help your child feel ready for Nursery. Children all develop at different stages and some skills come easier than others. Please talk to us early on about your child's development so we can understand their needs and advise you about how best to help them develop. One skill that is essential for Nursery though is 'going to the toilet'. Children join our Nursery from 3 years old, so the expectation is that they will be independent in this area and able to self care. Children should not arrive at Nursery in nappies and pull ups, as we do not have provision for this.
Please see the links below which give help and advice on potty training:

If you feel there are any areas of development that your child requires extra help with, please do contact us early on. Also if you have any questions or concerns about Nursery, specific to your child please email our Admissions Officer at admissions@allsaintscarshalton.sutton.sch.uk
Our Facilities
At All Saints we have a purpose built Nursery that has its own secure playground area as well as large indoor facilities. The Nursery is spacious, light and airy. It has double doors that lead to an outside area. The entrance to the Nursery can be reached via a pathway at the side of the school, on Talbot Road.
Our Nursery can admit up to 26 children to each of the morning and afternoon sessions. From these sessions we offer 20 government funded 30-hour free childcare places, 6 morning places and 6 afternoon places. The school reserves the right to vary the number of spaces available for each session. Please note that government funded 30-hour free childcare places can only be secured with a verified eligibility code.
What we offer:
- Early years education for children from 3 years old (earlier admission is considered, if there is space available).
- Qualified early years teachers.
- 15 and 30 hour sessions per week childcare (30 hour funding entitlement for eligible 3 and 4 year olds).
- Open Monday to Friday during term time.
- Children can attend sessions on either a part-time (AM or PM Mon-Fri) or full-time basis (30 hours Mon-Fri).
- Lunch club for children attending 30 hour sessions (additional charges apply*).

*30 hour funded sessions - please be aware that parents are asked to pay for the staffing contingent of the 45 minute lunch time provision (which is not funded by the Government contribution) and to provide their child with a packed lunch every day. This amount is non refundable and payable even during times of absence. As a guide the cost for 2023 is £4.00 per day (this cost may be subject to change for 2024). This amount can be covered using childcare vouchers.
The atmosphere in our Nursery is safe, welcoming and stimulating. We work hard to help each child feel secure, valued, confident and special. In doing this we are ensuring that they are ready to learn.
