Waiting Lists
When All Saints Carshalton CofE Primary School is full and there are no places to offer children applying to join, applicants details will be held in on a Waiting List for their specific year group, ie, from Reception to Year 6. These applications will be ranked in order of priority against All Saints Carshalton CofE Primary School's published oversubscription criteria, as detailed on the current School Admission Policy. A copy of the current School Admission Policy can be found below:
School Admission Policy 2023/24
Applicants will be placed on a Waiting List once notification has been received from the London Borough of Sutton Admissions Department that an In Year Application is in place. The school Admissions Officer will email you at this time to confirm your entry onto a Waiting List and confirm your position on this Waiting List at the time of entry.
Please Note: All applications are ranked according to the school's published oversubscription criteria, no priority is given to children according to the date their application is received or by the date their name is added to a Waiting List. Your child's position on a Waiting List can fluctuate and they may move up or down a Waiting List. This is because other children might be added to a Waiting List who have a greater priority for a place according to the school's admission criteria.
All Saints Carshalton CofE Primary School is an Anglican School working within the Southward Diocesan Board of Education Multi-Academy Trust, as such we offer 80% Foundation (church) places and 20% Open places. Each year group consists of 60 pupils and this breaks down to 48 Foundation Places and 12 Open Places in each cohort.
When we receive your details from the Admissions Department at the London Borough of Sutton you will be placed on our Open Waiting List. However, if you attend a Christian Church it may be possible for you to be added to a Foundation Waiting List as well. Foundation places are for children whose parents/guardians are 'regular and faithful' members of a Christian church. If you think you might qualify for a Foundation Place please read our Admission Policy very carefully.
What is a 'regular and faithful' member of a Christian Church?
The phrase regular and faithful worshippers is defined as the regular attendance of at least one parent/carer at least fortnightly for at least two years at the advertised regular public worship of their church at the time of application.

Your child will remain on a Waiting List until the 31 July each year. In July of each year our Admissions Officer will contact you via email to find out whether or not you want your child to remain on a Waiting List. If your contact details change at any time please make sure you update the information we hold on you by emailing admissions@allsaintscarshalton.sutton.sch.uk. If we cannot contact you in July of each year then we will assume you are no longer interested in a space and remove you from our Waiting List.
As children leave the school vacancies are created. When a child leaves we will try to fill a place from the Foundation Waiting List. If this is unsuccessful we will move to the Open Waiting List. If a space becomes available our Admission Officer will contact the family of the child at the top of a Waiting List to offer a place. If you are still interested in a place at All Saints you will be given the opportunity to visit our school and an offer of a place at All Saints Carshalton CofE Primary School will be emailed to you.
Please note: If your child attends our school Nursery, siblings on a main school Waiting Lists will not receive sibling priority.
